Truck Freight FTL & LTL Across Europe
Truck freight FTL & LTL is our European road-distribution service: full truckload (FTL) and less-than-truckload (LTL) trucking that collects containers from rail terminals such as Małaszewicze or Duisburg and delivers to final addresses across the EU — the flexible last-mile and line-haul leg that completes every China–Europe rail shipment.

What Are FTL and LTL Truck Freight?
FTL (Full Truckload) means your cargo occupies a complete truck that drives directly from origin to destination — the fastest and most secure option for larger shipments. LTL (Less-than-Truckload) consolidates your pallets with other shippers' cargo on a shared truck, so you pay only for the space you use. In European distribution, FTL typically serves 10 pallets and above, while LTL is the economical choice for 1–9 pallets. Both modes integrate directly with our China–Europe rail service, so containers arriving by train are unloaded, cleared and rolled onto trucks without you coordinating a second provider.
Rail-Connected Road Distribution
Most China–Europe rail containers terminate at hub terminals such as Małaszewicze (Poland), Duisburg and Hamburg (Germany), or Budapest (Hungary). From there, trucking takes over: we deconsolidate the container at the terminal CFS, clear customs, and dispatch FTL or LTL trucks to France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Spain, the Nordics, the UK and the rest of the EU.
This intermodal handover is where rail freight gains its real value — one booking covers the Chinese factory gate all the way to your European warehouse dock, with the rail leg for cost-efficient long-haul and trucking for precise, address-level delivery.
Transit Times and Service Levels
European trucking is fast and predictable. Direct FTL from a rail terminal reaches most EU destinations within 1–3 days — for example, Małaszewicze to Berlin is a same- or next-day drive, Duisburg to Paris roughly 1–2 days, and into Italy or Spain 2–3 days. LTL adds 1–2 days for consolidation and line-haul routing.
For time-critical cargo we arrange express FTL with two drivers; for standard freight we use scheduled daily departures from the main hubs. Every truck is GPS-tracked, and you receive milestone updates from terminal pick-up to proof of delivery.
Equipment, Cargo Types and Insurance
We deploy standard tautliner and box trailers for general cargo, with tail-lift trucks available for addresses without a loading dock. Typical accepted cargo includes palletized electronics, machinery, auto parts, furniture, textiles and consumer goods.
All movements are covered by carrier liability under CMR convention terms, and full-value cargo insurance can be arranged on request. Trucking rates depend on distance, weight, volume and service level — share your delivery address and pallet count, and we will quote the exact FTL or LTL cost for your route.
Why Combine Trucking with Our Rail Service
When one team manages rail, customs and trucking together, the container does not wait: space is pre-booked, the truck is dispatched before the train arrives, and customs documents are prepared in advance. That saves days of dwell time at the terminal and removes the friction of coordinating separate forwarders.
Tell us the pick-up point in China and the delivery address in Europe — we will design the full rail-plus-truck lane and quote it as a single, transparent price.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between FTL and LTL trucking in Europe?
FTL (Full Truckload) gives you a dedicated truck driving directly from origin to destination — best for shipments of roughly 10 pallets or more. LTL (Less-than-Truckload) consolidates your pallets with other shippers' cargo on a shared truck, so you pay only for the space you use — the economical option for 1–9 pallets, with 1–2 extra days for consolidation.
How fast is trucking from European rail terminals?
Direct FTL from rail hubs such as Małaszewicze or Duisburg reaches most EU destinations within 1–3 days — Berlin is a same/next-day drive, Paris roughly 1–2 days, Italy or Spain 2–3 days. LTL adds 1–2 days for consolidation and line-haul routing.
Can trucking be combined with China–Europe rail freight?
Yes — that is exactly how our service works. Containers arrive by rail at hubs like Małaszewicze or Duisburg, are deconsolidated and customs-cleared at the terminal, then dispatched by FTL or LTL truck to any address in the EU. One booking covers the whole lane from the Chinese factory to your European dock.
